Volunteer Training for Upper Gunpowder Brook Trout Project--Sign Up Now

MDTU will be hosting a Stream Temperature Monitor Deployment Training to support the baseline data collection phase of our Upper Gunpowder Falls Watershed Brook Trout Conservation Partnership. The goal of this event will be to create viable teams for installation of stream temperature monitoring devices (data loggers) at 16 critical locations in the Upper Gunpowder Falls Watershed. Working closely with Mark Staley and his team from Maryland DNR, attendees will be trained regarding proper data logger deployment, GPS location documentation of devices, proper data offload, and long term device maintenance. Training attendees should plan to assist with data logger deployment at dates TBD in Spring 2016.
