November Chapter Meeting: Kamchatka Peninsula

Did you ever dream of going completely off the grid?
MDTU board member Ben Legg did, taking a weeklong trip last August to the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia. At the November 16th meeting, Ben will show slides and discuss his adventure, The Kamchatka Peninsula: 30+ inch Rainbows among the Pink Salmon
Four time zones west of Alaska, Kamchatka is a 100,000 square mile peninsula that juts off the far eastern Russian mainland north of Japan. The peninsula holds one small city (Petropavlovsk) of 175,000; the rest of the land is mostly deserted save for brown bears, eagles, salmon, and large rainbows.
Free and open to the public. Hope to see you there: Wednesday,  November 16, 7:30-9:00 p.m. at the Towson Presbyterian Church 400 W Chesapeake Ave, Towson, MD 21204
